Holmbury St Mary

A small village near Abinger in the Mole Valley district of Surrey, England. Nearby to the south is Holmbury Hill which at 857 feet (261 metres) is the third highest point in Surrey after Leith Hill (965 feet - 294 metres) and Gibbet Hill (894 feet - 272 metres).
Orange installed a mast near the wooden bus stop at the centre of the village in December 2005.
There are two pubs in the village, The Royal Oak and The King's Head. At weekends the village becomes very busy as it is popular with mountain bikers.
Holmbury st Mary has two football teams. Holmbury st Mary 1st XI and Holmbury st Mary 2nd XI who both compete in the Guildford and Woking Alliance. The 1st XI are in the Premier Division and the newly formed 2nd XI are in the 4th Division.
Training is on a Wednesday Nights 630pm at Belmount School and games are on Saturdays on Holmbury Hill.

The manager of the team is David Archer. Gavin Turner takes training on wednesday nights and looks after the first XI.
Holmbury also has two cricket teams. The first XI plays in division two of the Surrey Downs League and the second XI play in the second division of the Village Cricket League.
