A Hollywood is a drug slang term referring to an unusually large dosage, or line, of cocaine. A typical line usually measures between 50-75mg of cocaine. However, a Hollywood line can measure up to and beyond 200mg. The term is derived from the very public, excessive, and often overindulgent use of cocaine by celebrities and other affluent residents in Hollywood. A Hollywood line is a very risky dosage of cocaine and is much more dangerous than taking the same dosage in smaller measurements over time. Cocaine overdoses are more often than not caused by taking large doses at a time resulting in cardiac arrhythmias, hyperthermia, and other complications relating to increased heart rate, blood pressure, and increased adrenaline production.
