Hollywood (novel)

Hollywood (ISBN 0876857659) is a 1989 novel by Charles Bukowski which fictionalizes his experiences surrounding the film Barfly. This book traces the experience of the fictional screenwriter Chinaski from his writing of the screenplay through to its completion. He is actively involved only as screenplay writer. Bukowski did enjoy a brief cameo in the film itself, as one of the many barflies.
