Holidayland was a themed land at Disneyland that opened June 16, 1957. Holidayland is often referred to as the "lost" land of Disneyland. Holidayland had its own admission gate and could hold up to 7,000 guests, for large events. It also had playgrounds, horseshoes, baseball field, volleyball, and other activities. It was also noted because it was the only place in Disneyland that sold beer.

Holidayland closed in 1961 due to its lack of shade, nighttime lighting, restrooms, and alleged lack of Disney "flavor", and was replaced by New Orleans Square
