Holiday season (video games)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In most of the world, the Holiday Season refers to the summer period when most families take their Summer Holidays. Recently in North America, the holiday season in video games has been taken to refer to the period around, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day, in which most video games are sold. This period starts around the time of Thanksgiving late November, and lasts until Christmas at the end of December.

Video game publishers usually release the most important games of the year in this holiday season, because the most games are sold in this period, due to the gifts that come with the christmas celebrations.
