Holeproof
Holeproof is an American company founded by Carl Freschl who began experimenting with hosiery in his family store in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His father, Philip Freschl, had purchased a small loom in 1872 to allow him to make hosiery. He had little success with the loom and it was soon banished to quiet corner. However young son Carl was fascinated by the loom and eventually succeded in producing a stocking, and the rest (as they say), is history! The company grew rapidly and Carl Freschl shifted his operation to Milwaukee. The company became known for its high-quality, light, and durable hose. Today, Holeproof remains one of the world's best known brands with manufacturing in many countries.
