"Hole in My Heart (All the Way to China)" was the song recorded by pop singer Cyndi Lauper for her 1988 film Vibes.

[edit] Song Information

It was written by Richard Orange, formerly of the band Zider Zee. The single was released in 1988. It failed to become the hit it was expected to most likely because Vibes the movie failed to be a box office hit. For that reason it is considered a rarity since because of its little success it was not printed in many formats. The song was also not included on the soundtrack for Vibes.

Lauper was also getting ready to release an album later that year called "Kindred Spirit" but the release was canceled most likely do to the backlash of this release. Later on when Lauper released the album, but now called, A Night To Remember the track was not included on most formats of the album. It was only included on the Japanese edition as a bonus track.

The song is considered a little known underrated gem to Lauper fans. Lauper rarely performs this in concert but she did recently during her Body Acoustic Tour in 2006.
