The Holden Captiva is the Australian name of the Chevrolet Captiva (S3X) developed and built by GM Daewoo's design centre in Incheon and is based on GM Theta platform.

The Holden Captiva has been available since October 2006 in a five or seven seat vehicle and is based on the Chevrolet Captiva. From 2007 the range will also include the MaXX which is based on the European Opel Antara but is also built by Daewoo in South Korea.

The Captiva is powered by the Alloytec 3.2 litre V6 engine with 169 kilowatt of power and 297 newton metres of torque and a 5-speed automatic transmission with Active Select. The Captiva MaXX produces two kilowatts less due to slightly different exhaust routing.

A 112 kilowatt, 2.0 litre turbodiesel engine is available on all models except the MaXX.
