This article should be moved to Hogwarts layout or something similar (or even just Hogwarts floor directory. I'd do it myself, but I really don't have the time to fix the double-redirects that would be created. Lachatdelarue (talk) 23:51, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

Doing so now. Flcelloguy (A note?) 00:41, 8 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup

I really don't think this article requires cleanup anymore, and I believe this tag should be removed... what do you guys think? Emily 00:38, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

I erased some useless imformation, like "The third floor Trophy room is four floors below the seventh floor". Amtyo 03:59, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I notcied you also removed the DADA room is 4 floors below the 7th floor. Otherwise, it looks pretty good to me. The clean-up tag should be removed, unless other people find other errors... I could try to fix some, I'm on Spring break... Emily (Funtrivia Freak) 20:50, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

I agree that we can remove the cleanup tag. Lag 17:32, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't think so. It is pretty obvious that the basic information came from the Lexicon page. Before the tag is removed, chapter citings need to be made (using the templates PS Ch.{{{ch}}}, CS Ch.{{{ch}}}, etc.), and they need to found by editors who will look through the book and not the Lexicon page. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 20:27, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Is information like "Ancient runes is taught in the ancient runes classroom" really necessary?

be bold. John Reaves (talk) 22:43, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Material from GOF article

There's a section of the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (film) article which might be appropriate to move here; the GOF article is getting quite long. Her Pegship 02:52, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

What section? Emily (Funtrivia Freak) 02:29, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

It's "# 7 Continued changes to Hogwarts Castle and its surrounding landscape". Since the section was titled "continued changes" I was under the impression that the previous article had similar observations. Either way, even if it is related specifically to the 4th film, it would be nice to break it out. I thought adding it to this one would make sense. If you'd rather keep the book and film representation separate, would someone like to make a "Hogwarts as depicted in film" article? Cheers, Her Pegship 22:58, 28 April 2006 (UTC) (aka Prof. McGonagall)

I think it should be left as it is because it is about how Hogwarts has changed in the fourth film! I mean, there is no "Hogwarts Layout in Films" page on Wikipedia though there should be.

I think it's important to keep articles about the books and articles about the films separate because they are different things.

I say keep that section in GoF, do not merge. It regards the film and what happens there, not the Hogwarts castle layout in the book. Lag 17:30, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

I don't think they should be merged, because there isn't much about the layout in the film. 11:16, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] D.A.D.A. Classroom location

The article currently has it located on the third floor but the Lexicon list that we're basing this article on has it on the first floor. I'm confused. 70.48.166.133 19:00, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Curiosity

Why couldn't Harry Potter have used the Chamber of Secrets as a alternative place to conduct DA meetings in "Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix"? Its not the most obvious way to do it.. but I would think it be more safe.. Is there a specific reason the author did not choose this path?
