[edit] Note to anyone intending on splitting off a section

This page has been processed by N-Bot, which, for browsing convenience, changes links to redirects to lists to links to the relevant list sections: e.g. [[Nearly Headless Nick]] is changed to [[Hogwarts ghosts#Nearly Headless Nick|Nearly Headless Nick]].

As a result, anyone who intends to split a section out of this page should be aware that, as of 27 August 2005, the following sections were linked to from the following pages:

[edit] Norwegian articles and linking

Hi! I've added all the Norwegian links in <> at the bottom of the article. All the ghosts have their own article on the Norwegian Wikipedia. I therefor ask if someone has got an idea of how to link the articles together? See also: no:Portal:Harry Potter - Helga76 16:35, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Spoilers

Headless- Victim of basilisk attack. Gives away what the monster is, who did it and why.

I can't spoiler it though.

EDIT: They aren't the only spoilers. They'll p' off whoever hasn't read the books.

[edit] The Grey Lady

Does anybody else think that there is fair too much irrelevant information and original research in the Grey Lady section? It really adds nothing to an article about the ghosts in the Harry Potter series.

A significant number of people think she is Lady Jane Grey (to the point where Lady Jane Grey's article claimed that she was believed to be the Grey Lady). This is however not only rather in defiance of Rowling's explanation, but going against the rather obvious point that Jane Grey was beheaded. I therefore think that it should be explained why this cannot be the case (in light of Rowling having never claimed her to be Jane Grey). Michaelsanders 00:03, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
It should definitely be noted that it's a common belief that she's Lady Jane Grey, and also that there is no evidence to support it. The large amount of information there, however, is original research and, additionally, is written in an unencyclopedic tone. I removed the original research the other day, but Michaelsanders reverted it. I'm not going to revert it again right away, but I hope there's more discussion here to generate a consensus. -- Icarus (not logged in)

[edit] Nearly Headless Nick's history

Wouldn't it be a good idea to add the story of Nicks execution to the article? JKR has published it on her homepage, it's a poem she had intended to use it in a HP book, but she has never done it —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Marvinios (talkcontribs).

Do it - it's actual information from the author, so it should be here (and where on the homepage is it? I've never managed to find that story). Michaelsanders 14:21, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
