Hodejov (Hungarian: Várgede) is a village and municipality in the Rimavská Sobota District of the Banská Bystrica Region of southern Slovakia.

In historical records, the village was first mentioned in 1280 (Gede),when the local feudatories the Ratoldoy built a castle in the zone. Successively it belonged to femilies Ilsvay, Palóczy, Országy and Kubiny. In the XVI century the castle was devastated by Turks. In the XVIII century the village was ruled by Kubinyi family again. From 1938 to 1944 it was annexed by Hungary.
