Hoda Kotb

Hoda Kotb (pronounced KOT-bee) is a television news anchor and correspondent in the United States.

Hoda graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism.

- 1986: Kotb began her broadcast career with CBS News as a news assistant in Cairo, Egypt.
- 1986-1989: Hoda was a morning anchor and general assignment reporter for WQAD-TV, the ABC affiliate in Moline, Illinois and an anchor for WXVT-TV, the CBS affiliate in Greenville, Mississippi.
- 1989-1991: Hoda was a weekend anchor and reporter for WINK-TV in Fort Myers, Florida.
- 1992-1998: Hoda was anchor and reporter at WWL-TV, the CBS affiliate in New Orleans, Louisiana.
- 1998-present: Hoda has been a Dateline NBC correspondent.
- 2004-present: Host of the weekly syndicated series, Your Total Health..

- While in New Orleans, Hoda was well liked around the community, and attracted a crush from a character called "Moss Man". During the first Mardi Gras she covered with the station, she was wearing a Cleopatra outfit, a nod to her Egyptian heritage, and suddenly, The Moss Man came and picked her up!
- When she first joined NBC, the network changed the spelling of her name to "Kotbe" to make it more easily pronouncable to viewers. She has since reverted to the original Egyptian spelling of her name.
- Kotb married her long-time boyfriend in a ceremony in the Dominican Republic in December 2005.
- Kotb was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority at Virginia Tech.
