Talk:Hobgoblin (disambiguation)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I don't see why this disambiguation page is at all necessary. Surely hobgoblin (fairy) should be at this page, with a notice on that page pointing out the Hobgoblin (comics) article. -Sean 21:35, 18 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Druids?

The stuff about the druids is complete trash. The word 'goblin' is anglo norman, probably originally from latin, as is 'Robin'. Belief in fairy-type folk isn't confined to the celts! Hobgoblin's are a purely medieval English conception of a type of fairy folk, the house-fairy, although that type is found in almost all indo-european folklore.
