Hoboken High School

Hoboken High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school located in Hoboken, New Jersey, as part of the Hoboken Public Schools.

The principal of the school is Patrick Gagliardi[1].

Hoboken High School has received criticism for being impolite to people who call the school[2]. Hoboken High School has a large musical theatre group[3]. The Redwings are the school's sports team.

There is no information about when the school was founded, why it was founded, and who founded it on the school's website.[4]

The current Hoboken High School was built in the mid-1960s. Prior to that time, A.J. Demarest High School, dedicated in the autumn of 1911, served as the city's high school.[5] When the current high school was built, Demarest became a K-9 establishment, and is currently one of two middle schools in the district.

In 1997, one of the school's history teachers, John A. Sacci, was shot and killed by Geraisimov Metaxas, who then shot and killed himself.[6].

The student body of the school is 67% hispanic, 20% black, 11% White, 2% Asian, and 1% Native American[7].
