HMS Swiftsure (pennant number 08) was a Minotaur class light cruiser of the Royal Navy.

She was laid down by Vickers Armstrong at Newcastle-on-Tyne in September 1941, launched in February 1943 and commissioned in June 1944. During the Second World War, she served in the Far East and oversaw the surrender of Japanese forces in Hong Kong in August 1945.


Her last trip was to Inverkeithing for scrapping, arriving on 17 October 1962
