HMS Suffolk was a British Monmouth class armored cruiser built in 1903 and sold out of the Royal Navy in 1920. It had a displacement of 9800 tons, a speed of 23 knots, and a crew complement of about 680. Its primary armament consisted of 14 quick-firing 6-inch guns, arranged in a mixture of turrets and casemates. This was complemented by smaller guns and two submerged torpedo tubes.
