HMS Stirling Castle

A number of ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Stirling Castle after Stirling Castle in Scotland, including:

  • Stirling Castle, launch in 1697 (date unknown), lost off Ramsgate in Kent in 1703.
  • Stirling Castle, 74 guns, launched Rochester 1811, hulked 1839 [1].
  • Stirling Castle, launched in 1900, auxiliary patrol paddler, sunk in the Mediterranean, 1916 [2].
