HMS R4

R4 was built by HM Dockyard, Chatham and was laid down on the 4th March 1917. She was commissioned on the 23rd August 1919.

R4 was the only boat to survive through to the 1930's. Addittions to her casing produced slightly better sea keeping at the cost of a reduced speed from 15 knots submerged to 13 knots.



FATE

R4 was sold on the 26th May 1934 at sunderland.
