HMS Onslow
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
At least two ships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Onslow:
- HMS Onslow (1916), an "M" class destroyer launched in 1916 and scrapped in 1921. She saw action at the Battle of Jutland, where her captain was John Tovey, who later became Admiral of the Fleet.
- HMS Onslow (G17), an O-class destroyer launched in 1941 which later saw service in the Pakistan Navy.
Note the Royal Australian Navy also had a submarine called HMAS Onslow, currently preserved at a museum in Sydney.
