HMS Hornet

Ten vessels of the British Royal Navy have been named HMS Hornet. Amongst them:
- Hornet (1795), a 16-gun Swan-class ship-sloop under Robert Larkan.
- Hornet (1805), the ship that carried Britain's "last formal notice" to Washington DC regarding the War of 1812.
- Hornet (1854), a sloop launched in 1854 and broken up in 1868.
- Hornet (1877), an RN ship Harold Brougham Guppy served on from 1877-1880.
- Hornet (1893), an destroyer launched in 1893 and broken up in 1909.
- Hornet (1911), an Acheron class destroyer launched in 1911 and broken up in 1921.
- Hornet (1941), a Coastal Forces Base at Gosport formed around 1941 and disbanded in 1956.
