HMS Greyhound (H05)

HMS Greyhound (H05) was a G-class destroyer laid down by Vickers Armstrong Naval Construction Works at Barrow-in-Furness on 20 September 1934, launched on 15 August 1935 and completed on 31 January 1936. Greyhound participated in the Battle of Cape Matapan in March 1941. Greyhound was attacked by enemy German Ju-87 dive bombers as she steamed with the Mediterranean Fleet against the German sea-borne invasion of Crete and sank north-west of Crete on 22 May 1941.
