HMCS Shawinigan (MM 704)

HMCS Shawinigan is a Canadian Kingston-class maritime coastal defence vessel. Commissioned in 1997, it is named after Shawinigan, Quebec.

The previous HMCS Shawinigan (K136), a Flower class corvette, served during World War II and was sunk by a German U-boat, U-1228, on November 24, 1944.
