There was a Canadian World War 2 Flower class corvette christened HMCS Regina.[1] Her pennant number was K234. Like other Canadian Flower class corvettes she was named after a Canadian city, Regina, Saskatchewan.

She was sunk by a U-boat, U-667 eight miles north of the coast of Cornwall on August 8, 1944, with the loss of thirty of her crew of ninety-six.[1] She had stopped to recover survivors from the American freighter Ezra Weston. Survivors report the Corvette sank in 28 seconds.

The wreck of the HMCS Regina and the frieghter were at 60 meters.[1] The exploration of the wrecks by a crew of researchers was the subject of an episode of the documentary series "Deep Sea Mysteries".
