The Hmars are one of the most scattered tribes in the North East of India. It is also important tonote that they are facing series of ethnic cleansing operations perpetrated by major tribes. Despite assurance from the respective states that they lived in their condition is beyond the imagination can ever dream of.

I have reverted edits to the article from an IP which was also adding very low-quality external links. I am not knowledgable about the content, but the quality of the elements which I could judge (the external links) was very low. The reverted edit: [1]. Thue | talk 18:13, 3 August 2005 (UTC)

-- I have edited and deleted the passage crediting Rev. (Dr.) Rochunga Pudaite as the creator of the Hmar written language, and the claim that Rev. (Dr.) Rochunga Pudaite first translated the Hmar Bible. The information on the deleted/edited portion is wrong. User:Lalremlien
