HMAS Samarai (P 85) was an Attack class patrol boat built by Evans Deakin and Company at Brisbane in Queensland. Samarai was launched on 14 July 1967, and commissioned on 19 October 1973.
Samarai was transferred to the Papua New Guinea Defence Force on 14 November 1974.
