[edit] Summary

From a WWII era German Newspaper showing Hitler at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial. From http://www.harrypalmergallery.ab.ca/galwarvimy/galwarvimy.html.

[edit] Transliteration

[edit] Translation

A literal translation of the caption under the image: "The Führer on the Vimy Heights on June 2nd --- In the background the Canadian Memorial for the Dead, of which the English Minister of Lies Duff Cooper has claimed that the 'German barbarians' had destroyed it. Our photograph is one of the most striking picture documents for the shameless mendacity of the English propaganda. Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Mackenzie King has repudiated the English lie."
