"Hitsville UK" is the 13th single released by The Clash, and the third off their fourth album Sandinista! It is a duet with the Clash's Mick Jones and his one-time girlfriend Ellen Foley. Overall, it is notable for being one of their most overtly melodic songs, reminiscent of a danceable ballad. Its somewhat ambiguous, metaphor-laced lyrics (e.g. "shaking like a leaf / it blows a hole in the radio") seem to reflect negatively on the record industry of the United Kingdom.
Like all other Clash singles, the song is also available in the 1991 compilation The Singles.
