Hitoshi Matsumoto

Hitoshi Matsumoto (松本人志, Matsumoto Hitoshi, born September 8, 1963), or Machan (まっちゃん) as he is commonly known, is a Japanese comedian best known as half of the extremely popular owarai duo Downtown and as an individual for directing the short film "Sasuke".

Matsumoto is from Hyōgo Prefecture and thus usually speaks in the Kansai dialect.

Clips from the show HEY! HEY! HEY! MUSIC CHAMP showing Japanese pop singer Hikaru Utada defeating him at Tetris has become widely popular on the Internet.
