Hit 'Em Where It Counts Compilation (2002) |
Bruised But Not Beaten (N/A) |
"Hit 'Em Where It Counts Compilation" featured a previously unreleased song by Jank 1000 entitled "I'm Here, You're There", which was also intended to make the unreleased Bruised But Not Beaten album. "Hit 'Em Where It Counts" was released on Suckapunch Records in August 2002 and featured a total of 26 tracks, the majority by Suckapunch bands. This was the first record put out by the label as an attempt to give local bands a chance at having their music heard on a larger scale.
One critic Lindsay Baker claimed that many of the bands featured on the album "need to learn more than three chords... write more than three lines about getting over girls... and learn how to sing through their lungs, rather than their noses."
She did however go on to state "Omaha's Jank 1000, though now rumored to have broken up, provides one of the better tracks on the comp".
