[edit] Questionable information

I am sure all villages in the UK at least that end in TON are of Saxon origin,Ton or Tun means house or farm in Saxon, if Histon also means his town or gods town in old Norse I would say that this is irrelevant to this village information, The quoted ref. relates to revelations chapter 17 verse 5, what possible connection can there be with the bible and a little village in Cambridgeshire.

If anyone knows more info that validates this claim please enter references source on this section.

I have corrected (at least to the best of my knowledge) this info once and it has been put back I believe by the same unreg. user all though the IP address is slightly different, I don't wish to start an edit war and will be researching this further. Ecurb12 09:18, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge with Impington

I feel this article would be better if it was merged with Impington, these two villages are not just connected but have actually merged together to such an extent that many villagers today to not know were one ends and the other begins, they have a shared history which should be recognised. For instance Histon F.C. is actually in Impington, the old Histon station now disused is like wise, even the road signs entering the village on the B1049 states Histon & Impington. The village website is Histon and Impington so why don't we follow suit. Ecurb12 10:20, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
