Taneichi and Ono will consolidate to form Hirono.
Hirono (洋野町, Hirono-cho) is the northernmost Pacific municipality in Kunohe county, Iwate Prefecture, Honshū island, Japan. Hirono was formed on January 1, 2006 with the consolidation of Taneichi town and Ohno village.
