Hiromi Hara (原 博実, born October 19, 1958 at Tochigi prefecture, Japan) is a retired Japanese footballer and currently a manager.

After graduated Waseda University in 1981, Hara joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries football club and played as a forward, meanwhile he had got his cap of Japan national football team from 1978 to 1988. He scored 37 goals (24 at the international A matches) as a member of the national squad, and was nicknamed as "nuclear warhead".

In 1992 Hara started his new career as a coach at Urawa Red Diamonds. After the experience of coaching young players, he made a contract with Urawa as a manager of top team. He got the 3rd place of J. League in the second stage of 1998 season, but at the middle of the next year Urawa fell into the 13th place, and then he was discharged. At the end of 1999 season Urawa was demoted to Division 2.

Next two years, as a freelance, Hara worked as a commentator of football match program of Sky PerfecTV!, the Japanese satellite television. He liked La Liga so much and visited several Spanish football clubs to study coaching.

In 2002 Hara decided to be back to the job of coaching as a manager of F.C. Tokyo. He brought youngsters such as Naohiro Ishikawa, Teruyuki Moniwa and Akira Kaji, introduced Spanish-style tactics into the young and fresh team, and won J. League cup in 2004.
