Talk:Hindu/Comments

However I haven't gone through this long article and I intend to go through it in future. The one objectionale word is - the interepretation of the word - Sanatan Dharama. Here Sanatan is good interpreted as - eternal but dharma can't be interpreteted as law. In fact law has several controversies and compulsions but Dharma not. Hindu Dharma is the most libral Dharma in world where you have been kept libral for adopting any God or sect. If i come to the word, dharma means religion literally. However Geeta says 10 characters of Dharma - dhritih, kshama, damah, aasteyam, shaucham, indriya-nigrah, dhir, vidya, satyam, akrodh; Dharma means your should be like...... In fact Dharma is more than religion and more than laws. Now a days both - Karma & Dharma have been internationally recognised. The first one has to do with your past and next one has to do with your future. So what you did is your Karma and what you are expected to do is Dharma. A person who follows dharma is dharmik = religious or little more than spiritual.

One more thing, Sanatan means original. In fact from Hinduism several sects are originated like sikhism, buddhism, jainism etc but the hinduism remains same, unmanipulated or unchanged, and this is really sanatan. Thus sanatan should be understood more as traditional.
