[edit] Mistakes in the Article
Would someone mind citing the point in canon where it is stated that Hinata was disowned? Going over the series (both manga and anime), I have found no evidence to this end, and the article implies that it occurs during Kurenai's meeting with Hiashi as revealed in her flashback during Hinata's fight with Neji; no such thing happens during that scene.
Also, a review of traditional Japanese family structure is suggested for those writing this and the other Hyuuga articles. The clan isn't as "divided" as many American fans seem to think, nor is there a binary division between "main" and "branch" housebut what is the accual and practical difference.Neji Hyuuga points that out in this series.
you right; Hinatas father only states that he doesn't really care about Hinata because she has disappointed him with her lack of skill. i guess by white people standards that equates to being disowned. kaizen@may5
Nope. Being disowned would be Hiashi disavowing her -- effectively saying "you are not/are no longer my daughter".
-- The 'disowned' comment has been removed from the article.
-Someone has replaced the 'disowned' comment at the end of the section on the Bikochu filler arc. If no-one has any objections, I will remove it.
where did "Hinata also marries Naruto by the end of the manga. They have three children, named Hikaru, Haru, and Kio. Kishimoto loves this pairing, as does the filler team," come from?
seriouly, i'm a huge naruhina fan, but this is the very first that i've heard of this? can anyone back this up? if not, as much as i love the idea, i'm going to remove this.
morgannia
ummm . . .nevermind, some else did it for me . .. thanks morgannia
- Yeah, as much I am a NarutoxHinata fan, speculative or nonsense stuff like that doesn't belong on here. Hence me getting rid of it. NeoChaosX [talk | contribs] 18:08, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
There is one big huge mistake in this article!!! You guys forgot one arc!!! Naruto and hinata and kiba had to find somekind of thief!!!!! That was one of those naruhina moments!!! THEY ARE HAVING A PICNIC!!!!! It's soooooo cute!!! : ) Narutojutsumaster
-That arc lasted 2 episodes, and Hinata basically did nothing in it worth noting on the page. We don't add things because they're 'cute'.
[edit] Love Ointment #9
When the series started, Hinata was disowned by her father and Naruto was considered the lowest of the low. So if they were older and these facts stayed the same, Hinata would probably take Naruto’s last name because of being disowned and Naruto’s lower status would disgrace the clan. But now that Naruto has defeated Neji, saved the Village of the Leaf and Hinata is now accepted by both clans, (Father and Neji) would Naruto change his last name because the Hyuga clan has more honor and prestige despite his family’s role in the 3rd saving the village. (Based on Naruto’s family not being of any importance until him.) Discuss? MajinPalgen 20:10, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- ... huh? Are you implying that Naruto will marry Hinata at some point? --Pentasyllabic 21:37, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- I think they've mistaken the "talk" page for something akin to a forum. This isn't the first time this sort of thing happens. MajinPalgen, Wikipedia talk pages are purely for discussion concerning work on the article. You may want to take your question to http://www.livejournal.com/community/naruhina/ ;) --AceMyth 21:49, 9 January 2006 (UTC)

- So then... Shouldn't someone delete this section seeing as it was brought up in a manner against the rules, and ended on the fourth post?
-
- not really against the rules, but rather against guidelines. In either case removing others' comments is against policy. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 07:16, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia clean up
There seems to be a lot of excess information in the Trivia section that analyzes the role of Hinata in the series, which seems to me more like stuff meant for a fan site, not a factual encyclopedia. I really don't think it belongs in the article to begin with, so I suggest either reducing some of the bullet points or removing them entirely. We could also apply this to the trivia section of the other Naruto characters, since those also are collection a lot of useless observations about roles and archetypes rather than actual, interesting trivia. NeoChaosX 06:41, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chūnin Exam Arc
This section needs to be rewritten--it seems like it should be on Naruto's page rather than Hinata's. Most of it talks about his changing opinions of her rather than her own growth as a character, unless we're trying to imply that growth is totally dependent on Naruto, which is really not the case. Veil of Shadows 17:26, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- I agree, if you look deep into the series, it is actually easy to see that there is ver little character interaction between herself and Naruto, so why suggest that it was ONLY because of Naruto that helped her gain self-confindence? What is "SELF-confidence" when the implications point to her relying on someone else's confidence instead of her own? Observation 06:07, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Requested move
Hyūga Hinata → Hinata Hyūga – As pointed out in Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Anime_and_manga#Naruto_character_article_titles, the current names for articles about Naruto characters are inconsistent with the names used for other anime characters (Naruto characters use Japanese order for names, while most other anime characters have their name in Western order), as well not following the naming guidelines in WP:MOS-JA.

[edit] What's with the fanservice pic?
Why are we using Image:Hinata005.jpg? It really doesn't illustrate much of anything, it's just random fanservice. Yes, I'm aware WP:NOT censored, but my concern is really that it's a needless extra image with no demostrative quality. --tjstrf 08:25, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- You know, I never really thought about it before.
Aside from fanservice, it does seem somewhat pointless.Scatch that. It does illustrate the goofy magic-girl theme comparision. No harm in it staying for that reason. To make it a bit more demonstrative, tacking on a similar Sailor Moon transformation for comparion might be good. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 08:28, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
-
- Actually, the whole "Magical Hinata" thing seems like the sort of fancrufty between-series comparison we're supposed to avoid. I was going to delete that as well. --tjstrf 08:42, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

-
- Well, I'm not terribly concerned for keeping it, and the comparison is mostly OR anyway. Removing it would be fine. No fanservice for readers! Ha!. – Someguy0830 (Talk | contribs) 22:21, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Forest fo Death incident.
Does the line about Gaara killing the rain ninja because they looked at him the wrong way really make sense? Surely they actually attacked him first. Some nasty look!
- No, he wanted to kill them because they looked at him wrong. They attacked after he said that. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 05:57, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- hey this is a page about hinata not gaara ok. i dont read and memorize all this so i can get to the end and read about gaara, ok i come here to memorize all this because i love hinata, yes i am compleatly insane ok but i dont care. when u get drunk and halusenate that someone at a party is hinata and then try to get off with them its love 4 hinata.

- Wow, there's a way to get people to take you seriously. Treima 00:49, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
The beef was with a line in this article, so the discussion should be here, that's just common sense.
[edit] trivia
What happened to it? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.189.175.39 (talk • contribs).
- It's been integrated into the rest of the article, per the suggestions in WP:TRIVIA. If you look at the intro and the Background sections, you'll notice the points that were in the trivia section are now a part of those sections. NeoChaosX (he shoots, he scores!) 22:09, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Table
Do we really need to list the starting rank of each character? I mean it's obviousCouldn't think of a sig so here's my sig 02:56, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Shindo9Hikaru
It is not totally obvious sometimes, and it's not hurting any one... Treima 03:16, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
I JUST WANTED TO MENTION THAT SOMEONE VANDALISED THE ARTICLE by adding "she's got huge breats, and masturbates daily."
It's not vandalism if it's true
Well, its not true, making it vandalism.
in shippuden, Hinata is 15, doesn't that mean that her height and weight change?? cyrille 16:54, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

- 1) Please post messages on discussion pages using proper grammar and spelling, or at least as close to it as you can get.
- 2) It's just basic character design. Like the spirals on Naruto's outfit and Ino's pre-time-skip body bandages, the "fish nets" have no given significance at this point.
You Can't See Me! 05:03, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
Actually they are not fish nets but chainmails. --Wheetfish 05:23, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] baggy jacket
shouldent some one add about her baggy oversized jacket all it says on her part 2 article is that she looks and grew older —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.176.173.43 (talk • contribs).
- There's no point, really, especially since a picture of her wearing the jacket is right there. // DecaimientoPoético 00:30, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
