Hindringham

Hindringham is a village (population 468 [1]) in the North Norfolk district of the county of Norfolk in England. The village is situated 6 miles North East of Fakenham and 5 miles East of Holt. The name Hindringham means "The land of the people living behind the hills".

The village has a windmill although it is actually situated in the closeby hamlet of Lower Green.

Hindringham also has a sports and social club.

One of the successes of Hindringham in recent times is the local football club, which has worked its way up into senior status of the FA National Pyramid having been re-formed in 1986.
