Himatnagar is a city and a municipality in Sabarkantha district in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is the administrative headquarters of he district. Hathmati is the river of the city. The city was named after the King Himmat Sinh. There is also a school- Himmat High School which was named after the King. Motipura, Mehtapura, Mahavirnagar, Pologround are major areas of the city. Navratri, Diwali, Ramzan and Uttrayan are the biggest festivals of city.
