[edit] The San Francisco Bay Area includes San Mateo County

The San Francisco Bay Area is considered to include San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose, plus the areas in between, including San Mateo County. The Talk:Hillsdale Shopping Center is fairly close to San Francisco, on the SF Bay.

Hence both the SF Bay Area and San Mateo, CA category is appropriate.

The article is already in Category:San Mateo County, California, which is a subcategory of Category:San Francisco Bay Area. There are thousands of articles about places, things, people, etcetera in the Bay Area. If they were all placed in the main San Francisco Bay Area category, it would become useless; which is why articles are placed in relevant subcategories instead. 71.141.233.199 10:57, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
