Hilton Edwards

Hilton Edwards (born February 2, 1903 in London; died November 18, 1982 in Dublin, Ireland) was an Irish actor and theatrical producer.
He appeared in 15 films, including Captain Lightfoot, Orson Welles's Return to Glennascaul, which he also directed, wrote and produced, and a film version of David and Goliath. However, he was primarily known for his theater work; he was nominated for a Tony Award in 1966 for Best Director of a Drama for Philadelphia, Here I Come!
Along with his partner/lover, Micheál MacLiammóir, co-founded the Gate Theatre in Dublin. Edwards and MacLiammoir were the subject of a biography, titled The Boys by Christophor Fitz-Simon.
