Hillcrest High School, formerly Vickery Meadows High School is a public secondary school located in north Dallas, Texas (USA). Hillcrest High School enrolls students in grades 9-12 and is a part of the Dallas Independent School District.
Several communities, such as Vickery Meadows and the West University Place townhome community [1], are zoned to Hillcrest.

The school opened in 1938 as Vickery Meadows High School, but was renamed in the early 1950s when the campus was expanded and nearby communities were annexed to the school district.

The attendance rate for students at the school is 91%, compared with a state average of 96%. 52% of the students at Hillcrest are economically disadvantaged, 10% enroll in special education, 9% enroll in gifted and talent programs, and 34% are considered "limited english proficient."[7]
The ethnic makeup of the school is 52% Hispanic, 30% Black, 17% White, non-Hispanic, 1% Asian/Pacific Islander, and less than 1% American Indian/Alaskan Native.[7]
The average class sizes at Hillcrest are 21 students for English, 20 for foreign language, 18 for math, 20 for science, and 24 for social studies.[7]
Teachers at the school carry, on average, 12 years of teaching experience and 10% of the teachers on staff are first-year teachers.[7]

As of 2006, Benjamin Franklin Middle School is the only middle school that feeds into Hillcrest.[10]
The five PK-5 elementary schools that feed into Hillcrest are Arthur Kramer, Lee McShan, Jr., John J. Pershing, K. B. Polk Center for TAG, Preston Hollow and Sudie L. Williams. (See map)
