User talk:HighPriestess of the PDRGI

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello Bek, sorry to hear that we got you mixed up with the Hugo Kelly. I have removed that link - thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia! - Ta bu shi da yu 02:22, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I've removed the IP address template too, and I'm happy with your edits and verifications on the Hugo Kelly page -- though others don't seem to be. Nevertheless, being so close to Hugo, I've left the category and reference at Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles#K.
Also, you should clear copyright issues with the blog article content.
Oh, and if we're going to identify you in the photo, you should be mentioned in the article. What would be your preferred wording? Mark Hurd 13:10, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Hi Mark, I'm not sure what my preferred wording would be!

Feel free to add something, wording-wise, I'm sure it will be fine.

Others are already just saying "partner" and "partner's blog".

What are the copyright issues with the blog content??

Unless you clearly show the copyright on the blog content is compatible with the WP:GFDL, Wikipedia cannot use the text and should be marked with {{copyvio}}.
Just FYI, the best way to have a conversation over talk pages is to put your responses on my talk page. I have added a welcome template to your user page that provides links to pages describing these things. Mark Hurd 23:40, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

You can provide copyright information at Talk:Hugo Kelly. See Talk:Copyvio for examples. Mark Hurd 06:33, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Further to that, the 'examples' at Talk:Copyvio are actually misdirected real notices put in the wrong place, presumably because of a template problem. See Wikipedia:Copyrights#Contributors' rights and obligations where it is explained that you should acknowledge your copyright assignment on the talk page. Mark Hurd 06:48, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hugo Kelly

What does he do ? What were his contributions ? What makes him so important as opposed to the other millions of journalists who had a similar small readership. Why does he warrant an article ? Maybe if you start to ask yourself these questions you will understand why this article has so many maintenance tags on it. -- 70.66.244.236 16:38, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

If you view the history of this article you will see that I was only the most recent editor to add a maintenance tag. 3 Other editors felt the page was lacking in one form or another. The editor who finds a page lacking can tag it but is not obligated to fix the issue. And I notice you didn't answer my questions above. Cheers. -- 70.66.244.236 16:33, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
It has been discussed before, but the article itself does not mention why Mr. Kelly is notable. What does he do ? What were his contributions ? What makes him so important as opposed to the other millions of journalists who had a similar small readership ? 70.66.244.236 17:54, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
How about some examples of these important contributions ? -- 70.66.244.236 16:40, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
