[edit] Sock puppets of Allen Williamson

User AWilliamson has been known to be an agressive editor and self-publicist on Wikipedia. AWilliamson claims he is Allen Williamson — the author of archive.joan-of-arc.org (located in St. Cloud, Minnesota) and several other sites about Joan of Arc. This user is suspected to have been using following sock puppets, of which most have been engaged in behaviour ranging from annoying to damaging: biased editing, edit wars, link spamming and vandalism. As some IP addresses seem to be located outside the US, it must be taken into account that this user may have applied IP spoofing (header forgery).

[edit] Spotted from Joan of Arc related edits

The following list of accounts and IP addresses and locations was spotted by Switisweti/HAJARS from similar behaviour concerning Joan of Arc related articles:

[edit] Suspected sockpuppets of Mr. Williamson

Added in December 2006--for more information, see User:Durova/Complex_vandalism_at_Joan_of_Arc, and the thread currently at WP:ANI#Admin_plays_detective...what_next.3F.

what justification do you have for listing these users? i see they have all been blocked despite the fact that their status as sock puppets has not been confirmed. that doesn't seem fair. i see elizabeth87 was suspected but found to be innocent. what made you think she was guilty in the first place. perhaps you are wrong about some of the others as well. a look at the contributions of the listed parties shows a mixed bag, but half of them would appear to be innocent based on the 100 edit rule (see Wikipedia:Sock puppetry). 124.185.86.106 14:03, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Confirmed sockpuppets

The following have been confirmed through Checkuser, see Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/AWilliamson:

[edit] Additional sockpuppets

These accounts became suspect after the Checkuser request mentioned in the previous section. The first two were blocked on the basis of their edit pattern and interests.
