Higham Gobion

Higham Gobion is a village in the English county of Bedfordshire.

Higham Gobion Castle is an 11th century earthwork motte and bailey fortress, founded by the Gobion family. A small motte enclosed by a ditch, stands in the centre of a very large triangular site. The site itself is very marshy and is defended by substantial ramparts.
