High Flight Society is an alternative rock band formed in 2001 in Cedartown, GA. High Flight Society has a general Alternative Rock sound similar to that of Forever Changed, Acceptance, Thrice and Jimmy Eat World.
Playing shows mostly in the Southeast United States, High Flight signed a distribution deal with Selectric Records and anticipate the release of their debut album "From Far Above Somewhere" sometime in late 2006. The band worked with producer Tony Palacios at the Sound Kitchen in Franklin, TN.
After much consideration, however, the band decided to settle down with RKT Music (an imprint of Michael W Smith's label Rocketown Records). Their new full length album is now a self-titled album poised to hit shelfs on June 5, 2007.
