Higashi-Koganei Station

JR Higashi Koganei station (JR東小金井駅 Higashi Koganei eki) is a train station of JR East located in Koganei-shi, Tokyo. The station was operational starting September 10th 1964. The next year (April, 1965), it began its fuction as a freight train station. This would continue until 1984 when the station began to function as a passenger train stop. As the Japan Railways East came into form, it then changed its status as a East Japan Railways station in 1987. [1] The station is on the JR East Chūō Line.
