The Hickory Sabre Society is a volunteer aviation historical society located at Hickory Municipal Airport in Hickory, North Carolina. The organization restores and preserves vintage jet fighter aircraft from the Korean and Vietnam eras. Currently the Sabre Society displays the following examples of military fighter aircraft on the airport terminal ramp: Grumman F-14, F-4 Phantom, Vought A-7 Corsair, North American FJ-3 Fury, Republic F-105 Thunderchief, Lockheed T-33. A DeHavilland Vampire still in flyable condition is also part of the collection but it is only displayed in favorable weather conditions. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
