Hi Jinx was a New Zealand thoroughbred mare who won Australia's Melbourne Cup in 1960 at odds of 50 to 1. She was trained by Trevor Knowles and ridden by W A Smith. The field included the champion Australian racehorse Tulloch who finished seventh.

Hi Jinx was by Pride of Kildare from Lady's Bridge and was bred by Seton Otway at Trelawney Stud.
