Hey Vern, It's Ernest! was an Emmy-award winning American children's television program. It aired on Saturday mornings for one season, from 1988 to 1989. Each episode involved short sketches based around a certain theme or scenario (much like You Can't Do That on Television), featuring the popular fictional character Ernest P. Worrell (Jim Varney), his unseen friend Vern, and various others.
