[edit] Summary

This is a picture generated from crystal structure data reported by Scott J. Dalgarno, Sheryl A. Tucker, Daniel B. Bassil, Jerry L. Atwood in Science, Year 2005, Volume 309, Pages 2037-2039. It shows two pyrene butyric acids bound within a hexameric nanocapsule composed of six C-hexylpyrogallol[4]arenes held together by hydrogen bonds. The side chains of the pyrene butyric acids are disordered and were omitted.
