Willem Heuves is a lecturer at the University of Leiden. He is a clinical psychologist and senior-psychotherapist. He is a psychoanalyst for both children, adolescents and adults, supervisor and training analyst of the Nederlands Psychoanalytisch Genootschap. He is a member of the NVP, IPA and ACP and also works in private practice. At the university he is mainly involved in teaching students first steps in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. He has published widely on topics like adolescence, puberty, depression and psychoanalysis.
