Hetfield/Ulrich
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hetfield/Ulrich is a songwriting duo made up of James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, the lead singer/rhythm guitarist and drummer, respectively, of heavy metal band Metallica. The two are responsible for a vast majority of Metallica songs over the 25 years of the band's existence, and although other members have contributed to many songs, it is Hetfield & Ulrich who are the primary songwriters for the band. In fact, the band's 2003 album St. Anger marked the first time that the entire band received credit for every song on an album. Furthermore, "(Anesthesia) Pulling Teeth" is the only Metallica song in which neither Hetfield nor Ulrich have any credit; it was composed entirely by then-bassist Cliff Burton.
